According to information of consulting company “GRT & C“ Ukraine is the ninth in Europe in terms of the Internet audience volume with 15.5 million of Internet users at the beginning of the year.

Meanwhile due to online audience correlation to the total population Ukraine has worse position and the figure corresponds to 33% (for comparison, in Russia it is 44%).

As of early 2012 there were approximately 2.2 billion of Internet users and 500 million of them lived in Europe. It is foreseen that within a few years Internet audience will grow to half of the whole world’s population (over 3.5 billion).

Let’s recall that according to TNS company research Ukrainians spend on average 27 hours per month online. Compared to 2008 (8 hours per month), time spent by citizens of Ukraine in the Internet more than tripled.
