The State Statistics Service reported that Ukrainian retail trade turnover in January-October 2012 increased by 15.7% at constant prices compared to January-October 2011.
According to their data within the first 10 months of this year retail sales in nominal terms amounted to 650.4 billion UAH.
State Statistics Service recalls that in January-September of this year retail sales increased by 16% in nominal terms and amounted to 578.2 billion UAH.
Statistical Office also specified that in October, retail sales of trade and restaurant sector (excluding estimated data on volumes of sales at the markets and by physical persons-entrepreneurs), increased by 12.9% compared to the same month in 2011 and by 2.5% in comparison with September 2012 and amounted to 36.2 billion UAH.
Overall, for the 10 months of this year, retail sales grew by 13.9% – to 329.3 billion UAH.
Maximum growth of retail trade in January-October 2012 was recorded in Lugansk (19.5%), Donetsk (18.2%), Odessa and Zaporizhya (17.8%), Vinnytsia and Poltava (17.7%), Mykolaiv(17.6%), Volyn (16.8%) regions.
As it was previously reported, the retail sales in 2011 increased by 13.7% and amounted to 346.5 billion UAH.
