As of the end of the year of 2011 the area of modern warehouse premises in Kiev region was about 1.332 mln. sq. meters.

This figure includes approximately 119.000 sq. meters of modern specialized cooling and freezing, as well as chemical warehouse premises, as it has been reported by DTZ.

The volume of a new offer of logistic premises in Kiev region in 2011 approximately equals the figure of 2010 and now consists of 156.38 thousand sq. meters. In 2011 seven logistic complexes were put into service, four of them were put into service in the fourth quarter of the year.

The largest object put into operation in 2011 in Kiev region is the first line of “Amtel” logistic complex, its developer is “International Logistic Company” connected with the Russian company “Amtel-Properties”. The share of this object in the total volume of modern warehouse premises put into service in Kiev region over the year is around 29%.

Most modern warehouse premises in Kiev region are located along Route M-06 (Kiev-Zhitomir-Chop) as well as along Route “Kiev-Moscow” (M-01) and the ring road between Brovary and Borispol. The share of premises located in these places indicated is 29% and 25% of the total volume of professional warehousing property in the region.

According to the experts’ estimate, as of the beginning of 2012 the volume of a new offer of logistic areas to be put into service in 2012 can vary from 101.000 sq. meters to 181.000 sq. meters. The majority of development companies which are developing projects of logistic real estate in Kiev region are ready to start new construction in case of attracting a comparatively large lessor or a particular user (within the framework of a ‘built-to-suit’ contract).
