Kalashnik

Dear colleagues,

My name is Valentyn Kalashnyk. I am the President of Ukrainian Direct Marketing Association. For five years I’ve been watching the development of the distance selling market in Ukraine, whose volume is annually increasing by 20-30%. There's nothing surprising in this fact, as Ukraine offers rather comfortable conditions: cross border distance trading allowing the seller to send the goods up to 200 EURO to the buyer free from customs duties, taxes and VAT. Such advantages significantly decrease the market entry threshold as well as risks for distance selling companies, and exclude the necessity for direct presence of the company in Ukraine. In addition, Ukrainian consumers are still not spoiled and very loyal to distance selling in general: the share of product refunds is very low – it normally does not exceed 10%.

I believe in Ukraine and its high potential for distance selling business development. The market entry professional planning brings about results, which exceed all expectations. Distance selling companies already successfully doing business in Ukraine are the living proof of this statement.

I’m sure that when you learn more about Ukraine, you will be convinced of the prospects of this market and fantastic opportunities for distance commerce development offered by the Association. UDMA will do its best to make your plans come true.

Welcome to Ukraine!
