Last year Ukrainians have spent about 2 billion EURO in e-shops, as the Association “Participants of electronic business of Ukraine” announces.
In 2011 volumes of e-commerce in Ukraine increased by 30-50%, Pavel Sidelev, the Head of the Association “Participants of electronic business of Ukraine” tells. Association experts processed data on card payments, payments with self-service terminals and payment systems and obtained an assessment of Ukrainians’ internet-expenses.
«According to our expert estimation, in 2011 volume of e-commerce made 1.5 – 2 billion EURO in cash equivalent. It is by 30-50% more than in 2010, as it was a year of dramatic decline. This figure is more likely to be close to 2 billion or maybe it even exceeds this sum», — Mr. Sidelev affirms.
However, it gives a rather hard time to calculate a real trade volume, because 90% of Ukrainian e-shops (their number reaches from 7 to 10 thousand) receive payments in cash.
We would like to remind, that according to data of internet-auction Aukro.ua, young Ukrainians up to 25 years old with monthly income about 3 thousand UAH (near 300 EURO) were the main e-consumers in 2011.
